I am Gabriele Capitani, a dedicated and motivated computer science student currently studying at the
Tito Sarrocchi Technical Industrial Institute in Siena. Driven by a passion for
programming, I am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge and skills to create innovative and
effective solutions to real-world problems.

My Project
Chat 4b
Chat 4b is an instant messaging software created using Java, JS, HTML, and CSS by me and my
classmates.
It allows users to create accounts, log in, and send messages
to other users in real-time. The application features a simple and intuitive user interface,
with a chat window that displays the messages sent and received. Users can send text messages,
emojis, and files to each other. The system also supports group chats, enabling multiple users
to communicate in the same conversation. The software uses a client-server architecture, with
the server managing the connections between the clients and storing the chat history. We
designed and implemented the software as a school project to demonstrate our knowledge and
skills in programming and software development.
Siena Earthquake
Terremoti Siena is a website that provides up-to-date information on the latest earthquakes in
the Siena area. The site lists the most recent earthquakes, including the magnitude, location,
and time of occurrence, to help users stay informed and prepared. It also provides educational
resources and safety tips for those living in the region.
This website was created to list the earthquakes that
occurred on February 9th, 2023 in the Siena area. The site uses the APIs of the National
Institute of Seismology and updates in real-time. It is built using JS, CSS, and HTML.
Fake PS2
Fake PS2 is an image editing software project that provides basic functionality. It uses a layer
system, allowing users to stack images on top of each other to create complex compositions. It
has tools to paint, erase and save image.
Developed using Java with the Java Swing library, it is a
powerful image editing software that utilizes a layer system, creating a matrix of pixels with
RGB color and opacity values to allow for advanced manipulation of images. The software is able
to calculate the final color created by the overlapping layers, providing basic but effective
features similar to those found in a paint program. With the ability to add or remove individual
layers, this project has shown its capacity to perform complex image editing tasks. Its
straightforward and user-friendly interface makes it a reliable tool for basic image editing.
